Author Guidelines

Revista de la Escuela de Física accepts manuscripts product of original research in all fields of Physics in the English and Spanish languages. Manuscripts must be able to fit into one of the following categories:

  • Original articles: Documents valued as articles must be unpublished, with a certain degree of originality, sufficiently innovative and must represent an academic effort of research, development of technology or application of science to the solution of concrete problems.
  • Technical notes: These are not necessarily original documents, but they do have new and different mechanisms or alternative methods to solve problems of an informative, technical or scientific nature. They will be short, novel and useful documents aimed at professional updating or at the service of the teaching of Physics and its different fields of study or application.
  • Review: Review contributions are those that, due to their integrating and summarized nature, deal with topics of interest for the development of Physics from an academic perspective.
  • Research projects or linkage.
  • Historical and epistemological articles: These should contain some perspectives, approaches and points of view specific to the author.

To submit an article to Revista de la Escuela de Físicas, the complete work should be sent, in PDF format, to the e-mail: revista@fisicaunah.com, accompanied by a letter addressed to the Director of the Magazine, M. Sc. Alejandro Galo Roldán, signed by at least one of the authors and provide the author's address, telephone number and email address with whom the communication will be maintained. When submitting a work the author assumes the commitment that it has not been published and that it will not be sent simultaneously to another journal.

Any document submitted to the Journal will become the property of the Journal for archival purposes, according to the documentation control procedures of the institution.

Peer Review process

The documents sent to Revista de la Escuela de Física are submitted, in the first instance, to a process of editorial review and, second, to a peer review of anonymous specialists (blind peers). If the editorial decision is positive, the authors are contacted by the editor, in order to make the recommendations, modifications and changes suggested by the reviewers and, in some cases, a second review is carried out. When a general agreement of modifications is reached, the manuscripts are sent to the production process, to be published digitally. Only after receiving editorial acceptance, a manuscript can be considered "in press".

Any document submitted to the Journal will become the property of the Journal for archival purposes, according to the documentation control procedures of the institution.
