In response to the need for English and French programs adapted to the public educational context, the Foreign Languages Program of the National Autonomous University of Honduras (UNAH) designed a curricular proposal that is currently being used. This article presents the results of a research carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of this curricular proposal, aimed at pre-school students from three educational centers in the city of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. A qualitative approach was used where data obtained from surveys, in-depth interviews and direct observation were analyzed. The categories of analysis were: implementation of the curricular proposal, content and teachers’ perception. The main findings found determined that the programs have a series of strengths and opportunities, so they must be adjusted in terms of the form of evaluation, teaching material, teaching methodology, among others, in order to optimize the curricular proposal and achieve the proposed objectives.
