Abstract

Justice represents a human right and one of the highest values of society, in this sense the American Convention on Human Rights compiles in its article 8 and 9 the judicial guarantees, the principle of legality and retroactivity themselves that are executed by a judge or competition court of each country. In accordance with this idea, the figure of the magistracies was created, in charge of the administration of the Supreme Court of Justice, empowering the judge to impart justice and order the execution of the judgment. In the particular case of Honduras, in 2022 the election process for the candidates for Supreme Court Magistrates was carried out, for this reason it is considered that this study is pertinent to understand in a general way the behavior of the processes in Central America, to identify the patterns and challenges in Honduras for the election and appointment, the analysis and evolution of the Honduran legal framework.
