Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in political decision-making has emerged as a potentially powerful tool to enhance efficiency and reduce human biases. However, the impact of these technologies raises serious ethical and political concerns. On the one hand, AI promises rigorous analyses based on large datasets, potentially allowing for more impartial decisions free from undue influence. On the other hand, algorithms can replicate and exacerbate preexisting biases, introducing opacity and a lack of accountability in decision-making processes. The advancement of AI must be accompanied by deep ethical reflection to avoid unintended consequences. This article examines both the benefits and risks of employing AI in politics, evaluating whether this technology can truly offer impartiality and justice, or if it might threaten the core principles of democracy.
